Well, damn, we regret that we have to report another death in the family.
Nick Naillon, a friend of Americana Music Times for its entire existence, was taken from this earth on August 15th.
Most recently the bass player for the internationally renowned Reed Brothers, Nick also played with Pardo & Reed, and James Pardo immediately before that.
Only 28 years old, Nick was well known to us here at AMT as a gentle soul, who didn’t say much, but when he did speak, it was alway a kind word. We used to hang with him at Rolling Oaks, drinking beers, just chillin’, being around the music.
That’s one thing about Nick — he always wanted to be around the music.
The music will miss him, as will we.
A fund has been started to help with funeral expenses, and to assist Nick’s family as they grieve this sudden loss. If you’d like to help, you can give here.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at 2:00pm at Victory Assembly Of God in Universal City (map).
RIP, Nick, and we’ll see you on the other side, man.
